Barred owl

Owls are such interesting creatures, scary and cute at the same time. The barred owl is from my home province, Ontario. This little guy is available in the shop.

After a few days of warm weather, with robins singing in the morning, the snow has returned with a vengeance!
Boo! Makes it quite easy to stay inside and work on illustrations, to be sure. I'm having a hoot with my latest design. ;)

Hello! Welcome to L D R Design.

I am a designer, artist and animator living in Toronto, Canada. I am also the owner of the L D R Design store on Etsy. 

Being an artist has taught me discipline, a way to see the world through a different lens, and to pay attention to details. The way a scarf is tied, the way a person moves or laughs, the colours in a sunset, and the inspiring designs in nature. I like to use these ideas in my illustrations, the way I design the interior of my home; even in cooking and fashion. It makes life fun and interesting to try a new colour, new texture, a different ingredient. With this blog I will share my designs, ideas and the things that inspire me. I hope you enjoy your visit!
